A friend just sent me this orchestral pop/folk hybrid track from Seattle’s Hey Marseilles, and I must say I dig. The strings are really, really well done- even though there are about a million things going on here, it doesn’t sound overdone, just full. And the vocalist sounds a liiiiittle bit like Colin Meloy (The Decemberists), which isn’t unwelcome either. Nice!
